Cape fynbos in bloom on Table Mountain

Our Impact

We Care About Our World

Inspired by the raw beauty of Cape Town, we're on a mission to make on-the-go nutrition more sustainable. We want KULA to be a force for good, but we'll be honest: finding truly eco-friendly packaging for natural food is a massive challenge. Without artificial preservatives, our products need protection to stay fresh and nutrient-dense.

That challenge hasn't stopped us. We've implemented a “Right Now” Strategy to reduce our footprint while we look for better long term solutions:

Reduce

We use ultra-lightweight packaging to minimize total waste.

Recycle

We prioritize post-consumer recycled materials wherever possible.

Close the Loop

Every shipping parcel and display box we use is 100% recyclable.

Beyond our packaging, we invest in local conservation. Makes sense right? So, for every product you buy, a portion goes directly to the Sugarbird Project, helping to protect the Cape Floral Kingdom—one of the most biodiverse (and fragile) places on Earth.

Our Partner

The Sugarbird Project

The Sugarbird Project brings people together to protect the Cape Floral Kingdom by removing invasive alien plants. Their vision is of a Western Cape where indigenous flora and fauna thrive because invasive alien vegetation is being removed and controlled.

They are all volunteers working pro bono, motivated by sheer love and awe of the magnificent Cape Floral Kingdom and a desire to protect it for generations to come.
